After spending five active years with Kyiv’s Dynamo Kyiv and playing through various loan spells—including stints at Donetsk’s Olimpik, Croatian Gorica, and Luhansk’s Zorya—the Nigerian midfielder Benito has concluded his tenure with the team.

The 26-year-old player has now signed a one-season contract with the Cypriot club Akritas Chlorakas, joining as a free agent.

This move was announced through official club channels and social media outlets.

Benito’s transfer marks another significant step in his professional career, which began when he joined Dynamo Kyiv in January 2020 from Russian club Tambov.

During his tenure, he appeared in 35 matches, scored three goals, and provided three assists.

According to Transfermarkt, the player became a free agent before signing with his new team following the end of his previous contract.

Throughout his time at Dynamo Kyiv, he was loaned out to several clubs to gain experience, reflecting the club’s strategy to develop and optimize his skills.

It is noteworthy that only two foreign players remain in the squad—Colombian midfielder Angel Torres and Panamanian forward Eduardo Guerrero.

The team’s head coach, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, had previously emphasized the need for reinforcements after their exit from the Champions League, signaling ongoing efforts to strengthen the team.

Additionally, reports indicated that Dynamo Kyiv will face Israeli opponents in the Europa League qualifiers, highlighting ongoing tactical and strategic preparations.
