Mass Evacuation from Donetsk Region: Nearly 100 Residents Displaced in a Week to Safety

Over the past week, a large-scale operation to evacuate civilians from the dangerous and conflict-affected areas of Donetsk region has been underway.
In total, almost a hundred people have been evacuated and relocated to safe regions across the country, including more than 20 children.
According to official data from the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, 97 individuals were evacuated during this period, among them 11 with limited mobility and 21 children.
The information was provided by Deputy Head of Social Protection Department of the Donetsk OVA, Dmytro Pozharsky, who, during a briefing, emphasized the importance of swiftly and safely removing civilians from the risk zones.
He added that evacuations started several days ago and continue actively, as the number of people seeking to leave the danger areas increases.Pozharsky stated that the transit point used for evacuation is located in Pavlohrad.
At this location, evacuees can receive free hot meals, humanitarian aid, and a one-time financial assistance of 10,800 hryvnias.
The official also highlighted that the number of those wishing to evacuate has nearly doubled in recent days and urged everyone in the region not to delay their decision to leave for safety.It is crucial to mention that these evacuations are facilitated by law enforcement and volunteers, especially from Druzkhivka and several villages of the Andriivska community.
An enforced, compulsory evacuation is currently underway for families with children, given that the situation in the region remains tense and unpredictable.
Earlier, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filyashkin, stated that over a thousand civilians are now in Pokrovsk, and their evacuation can only be carried out with direct support from Ukrainian military forces, emphasizing the ongoing severity of the conflict zone.
