Kharkiv Region Adjusts Curfew Hours: New Restrictions and Their Rationale
In the Kharkiv region, as part of ongoing measures to ensure regional security and stability, a decision has been made to shorten curfew hours.
Starting from August 17, a new schedule will be implemented across Kharkiv city and most communities in the oblast — from midnight until 5:00 a.m.
This adjustment was made possible thanks to the diligent efforts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and an improved security situation in the region.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleg Sinegubov announced that the decision was adopted during a regional Defense Council meeting, taking into account appeals from local businesses and community activists.
He also clarified that the new timetable does not apply to settlements where increased curfew restrictions have been established by local authorities to address specific security concerns, ensuring the safety of residents during the most critical hours.
