Zelensky Highlights Ukraine’s Commitment to Peace and Security: The Importance of Diplomacy and Strategic Partnerships

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a recent conversation with Argentine counterpart Javier Milei, reaffirmed Kyiv’s clear stance on the necessity of achieving just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
He stressed that Ukraine’s top priority is not only ending the war but also establishing reliable security guarantees that can ensure stability and development in the future.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts, sharing details of recent contacts with international partners and describing the dialogue with the Argentine leader as “constructive” and “productive.” In response, Milei pledged to intensify efforts to promote peace and support Ukraine on the global stage.
The leaders also discussed Argentina’s economic successes, particularly deregulation policies and measures to curb inflation, expressing interest in Argentine reforms.
They agreed to revive the format of political consultations between foreign ministries, seeking tangible results by the end of the year.
Zelensky thanked his Argentine colleague for active participation in the international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children and expressed a sincere desire to welcome Milei to Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of international support during challenging times.
Milei, for his part, has repeatedly demonstrated solidarity with Ukraine’s position, including during a meeting in Davos, where he confirmed support for Ukraine and highlighted joint efforts to find a long-term and fair peace.
Discussions also covered developing bilateral trade and economic relations, demonstrating a mutual desire to strengthen strategic partnership amid current global challenges.
