An unexpected incident in the U.S.

capital has drawn public and law enforcement attention, highlighting ongoing tensions and measures to maintain order.

A 37-year-old man named Sean Charles Dunn, in an emotional state, abruptly threw a sandwich at a Border Patrol officer during an altercation.

The event took place amid increased police presence ordered by President Trump to combat rising crime rates in the city.

Witnesses reported that Dunn yelled, ‘Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!’, then pointed at officers and called them ‘fascists.’ The incident was caught on video, showing Dunn throwing a large Subway sandwich at a law enforcement officer.

He subsequently tried to flee, but police quickly apprehended him.

He has now been charged with assault, resisting arrest, or obstructing law enforcement duties.

Prosecutor Janine Pirro described the case in a social media video, stating, ‘If you assault an officer, you will be prosecuted for a felony,’ emphasizing that such actions will not remain unpunished.

She added that the incident underscores the seriousness with which authorities handle assaults on law enforcement.

The case is currently before the court, with ongoing legal proceedings, and the public, along with law enforcement personnel, await a fair resolution.

Those who believed that throwing a sandwich was a humorous act are now learning that disrupting public order is met with severe consequences.

This event unfolds amid broader plans announced by the US president to enhance security measures in Washington, including deploying additional National Guard troops to help control rising crime and disorder in the capital.
