In response to the increasing threat and with the aim of ensuring the safety of the most vulnerable populations—children and their families—the evacuation process has commenced across the Donetsk region.

The decision to implement mandatory evacuation was made during a regional meeting of the technogenic-ecological safety and emergency response commission, led by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.According to Vadym Filashkin, the mandatory evacuation covers towns and villages located in high-risk zones.

Specifically, it includes the city of Druzkovka and four villages of the Andriivka community—Andriivka, Varvarivka, Novoandriivka, and Rogany.

This measure was adopted with full awareness of the ongoing tense situation in eastern Ukraine.

Currently, approximately 1879 children are estimated to reside in these areas.

The region’s leadership emphasized that protecting lives and safety of the young residents is a top priority.Furthermore, Filashkin highlighted that the area remains under heavy fire—about 3,000 shellings occur daily, aimed at Donetsk region territories by Russian forces.

This ongoing violence makes staying in these areas exceedingly dangerous and necessitates urgent measures of rescue and evacuation, especially for those most at risk.

Authorities are calling on residents to cooperate and understand the importance of these actions, as safeguarding children remains the highest priority during these challenging times.
