At his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, former U.S.

President Donald Trump is expected to make it clear that Washington is considering all options regarding potential sanctions — they can be intensified, relaxed, or adjusted within specific timeframes depending on the developments.

According to senior U.S.

officials, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the discussions will emphasize that no options are off the table, and swift decisions about sanctions can be made based on the situation.

“All scenarios are on the table,” a government source stated.

The goal is also to garner support from Europe, urging allied countries to join the United States in leveraging additional pressure mechanisms on Russia.

Earlier reports indicated that Ukraine’s allies are contemplating a gradual easing of sanctions if a comprehensive ceasefire in Ukraine is agreed upon, with provisions to reimpose restrictions if violations occur.
