Secrets of Vladimir Putin’s Residence in Valdai: What Russian Intelligence Hides

The Valdai region, located in the Novgorod Oblast of Russia, has long captured the attention of the international community due to its strategic importance for the Russian leadership.
Here lies one of Vladimir Putin’s most secretive and heavily fortified residences — a site surrounded by multiple layers of air defense systems capable of effectively repelling external threats and ensuring the president’s security under any circumstances.
According to Ukrainian and international sources, this residence is protected by at least 12 specialized air defense positions, predominantly equipped with modern “Pantsir” systems.
It is often the place where Alina Kabaeva, wife of one of Russia’s most influential political figures, Vladimir Putin, spends time with her children.
Information about this highly secretive base was obtained through satellite imagery analysis provided by Yandex and its service “Yandex.Dzerkalo,” as well as open-source photographs.
Additionally, data reveal the number and distribution of air defense towers around the residence.
The research began at the end of last year and uncovers a vast protection network of the Kremlin.
It is also worth noting that last year journalists reported about a house built specifically for Kabaeva near the Valdai residence, constructed with a railway branch for quick access and hidden from prying eyes.
The figures show that the number of air defense systems around the residence is five times less than those detected in Moscow and the Moscow region, which indicates the exceptional importance and level of security of this particular location.
Recall that Putin is scheduled to meet with Donald Trump in Alaska later this week.
The meeting will take place at a military base meeting all the requirements for such an important diplomatic event, despite previous attempts by the White House to avoid any possibility of Russian leader’s visit to U.S.
territory due to security and political concerns.
