The situation on the eastern front of Ukraine remains highly tense and subject to rapid changes, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction.

According to Andriy Kovalyov, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops have amassed over 110,000 personnel in this region, signaling their strong strategic intentions.

Small infantry and sabotage groups, despite facing significant losses, continue to attempt penetration deep into Ukrainian defensive positions near Bieprobillya, trying to infiltrate further into Ukrainian-held territory.

These ongoing efforts increase tensions and pose a risk of further escalation. It has been reported that several enemy groups have managed to circumvent Ukrainian defenses and are trying to advance toward the strategically important village of Zolotyi Kolodiaz, with some sabotage units even reaching settlements such as Kucherivyar, Vilne, Rubizhne, and Veselé.

Ukrainian military sources confirm that some of these groups have been neutralized, while efforts to eliminate others and capture prisoners are ongoing. The commander of the parachute and airborne battalion of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade emphasizes Russia’s goal to encircle Bieprobillya and create so-called “kettles”.

Meanwhile, the towns of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd are already nearing encirclement, with Kostiantynivka also partially cut off, indicating that Ukrainian forces are actively defending but face increasing risks of losing control over these areas.Taras Chmut, head of the charity foundation “Come Back Alive,” warns that if Russian armored units manage to strike into the Ukrainian rear, the frontline could shift by dozens, or even hundreds, of square kilometers.

Such a development would considerably complicate Ukrainian defense efforts and could lead to significant territorial losses.

The current situation remains volatile, requiring constant monitoring and swift military responses from Ukrainian forces.
