Mykhailo Vynnytskyy Remains in Education Sector: A New Career Phase and Future Plans

The career trajectory of one of Ukraine’s prominent figures in the educational sphere continues to evolve.
Mykhailo Vynnytskyy, recognized for his active involvement in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, has decided to stay within the ministry, albeit in a different capacity.
Following his recent dismissal from the position of Deputy Minister, publicly announced by the Cabinet of Ministers on August 8, Vynnytskyy was offered a new role as an advisor to Minister Oksen Lisovyi.
This decision was confirmed by Vynnytskyy himself in an interview with ‘UP Life’.
He noted that he is currently serving as an advisor to the minister and involved with the Innovation Development Center at the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
It remains unclear whether this position is a full-time, staff role or based on voluntary participation.
Vynnytskyy has not provided further clarification to journalists.
Apart from this, he has outlined plans to contribute to the development of several prestigious Ukrainian universities, including Lviv Polytechnic and the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
In the coming weeks, he intends to hand over his responsibilities to a new deputy minister responsible for higher education matters.
He also expressed his willingness to partake in other projects aimed at improving Ukraine’s educational system.
It is noteworthy that Vynnytskyy served as Deputy Minister from May 2023, gaining recognition for his active engagement, and prior to this, he was a faculty member at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and various business schools, including UCU and Lviv Business School.
Additionally, in May 2024, he became a subject of an internal investigation due to identified violations with signs of corruption.
On social media, he expressed gratitude to colleagues and described his dismissal as a political decision, emphasizing his future intentions to contribute to the development of Ukraine’s academic and educational institutions.
