Frontline Developments: Summary of Hostilities as of August 13

Yesterday’s events on the eastern front of Ukraine were marked by intense military activity and numerous combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian aggressors.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00, over 118 combat episodes occurred since the start of August 13, with 42 taking place on the Pokrovsk direction.

The enemy conducted one missile attack and 58 airstrikes, employing more than two missiles and dropping 84 guided bombs.

Additionally, Russian forces deployed nearly 1700 kamikaze drones and carried out over 3800 shellings against Ukrainian military positions and civilian targets.

On specific fronts, Ukrainian troops managed to repel multiple assaults.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, eight clashes occurred with the enemy.

Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions twice near Vovchansk and Figolivka, while Ukrainian defenders successfully resisted three attempts to advance near Kupiansk, in the Golubivka area.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian fighters defended against six enemy attacks in regions around Novovodyane, Karpivka, Ridkodub, Kolodiazі and Torske.

On the Siversky direction, Ukrainian armed forces repelled 11 enemy assaults in the regions of Hryhoriivka, Novoselivka, and Pereizne, preventing enemy breakthroughs in these zones.

Similarly, on the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian units halted two enemy assaults, while fighting continues actively in Toretsk, where six enemy attacks near Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, and Rusin Yaru were repelled.

The most tense situation remains on the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy attempted 42 times to break through Ukrainian positions, concentrating efforts in areas around Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Chervony Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Promin, Chunysyne, Zvirove, Kotlina, Udachne, Horikhove, Novoukrainka, and Dachne.

Meanwhile, on the Novopavlivka front, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assaults near Maliivka, Tovste, Shevchenkove, and Oleksandrivka, and on the Huliaipole sector, the enemy made one attempt to advance near Malynivka.

In the Dniprovsky direction, the enemy launched four unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian positions, allowing Ukrainian forces to hold the line and conduct counterattacks.Overall, the situation remains tense, but Ukrainian military forces demonstrate resilience and capability to defend even in the most challenging conditions.

Continuous vigilance and swift response to any changes along the front line are essential to maintaining stability.
