A collaborator from Zaporizhzhia region, who previously worked in the occupation police and aided Russian invaders, was recently uncovered and detained by Ukrainian security services in Rivne.

According to official reports, the individual attempted to blend into the Ukrainian military after fleeing his hometown.

In the spring, he was registered as internally displaced person and later approached a local military recruitment center to be mobilized into the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the apparent goal of avoiding prosecution for his past actions.

Law enforcement officers meticulously tracked his movements, leading to his arrest in a military hospital where he sought refuge under the guise of medical treatment.

Investigations revealed that during his service in the occupation police, he was responsible for patrol duties, received weapons, a uniform, and Russian ID papers.

His role included enforcing orders from the Kremlin, targeting resistance movements, and suppressing dissent in the region.

Currently, he is suspected of collaborating activities under Article 111-1, Part 7 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.

The suspect remains in custody, with potential sentences of up to 15 years in prison and seizure of property.

Ukrainian authorities continue working to ensure justice and accountability for his actions, reinforcing Ukraine’s fight against traitors aiding the aggressor.
