Zelensky Warns of Large-Scale Russian Offensives on Three Fronts as Troops Mobilize Strategically

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly announced that Russian forces are actively preparing for significant offensives across several key sectors of the front line, including massive troop redeployments from other regions.
According to the head of state, the primary targets of the Russian military are the Zaporizhzhia, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka directions, where the enemy aims to achieve strategic breakthroughs and establish footholds.
Zelensky revealed that out of the current 53,000 Russian soldiers positioned in the Sumy region, about 30,000 may be redirected specifically to these three sectors, indicating the scale of upcoming battles.
He estimated that Russia plans to send an additional approximately 15,000 troops to Zaporizhzhia, around 7,000 to Pokrovsk, and about 5,000 to Novopavlivka, the last of which they consider the third priority in their strategy.
The Ukrainian leader added that Russia has been concentrating its most capable units near Kursk for months, and these reinforcements are expected to begin after the 15th of the month, with further preparations for assaults and advances.
Based on Ukrainian assessments, these operations could materialize as early as September, or even in November with the deployment of additional forces.
Zelensky emphasized that Russia’s choice of these directions was made last year, and their tactical plans have remained largely unchanged.
The only reason for the postponement was Ukraine’s successful operation in the Kursk region, which forced Russian troops to be redeployed.
Currently, Russian forces are undertaking preparatory actions and increasing troop numbers.
The President also noted that Russia is attempting to show local advances to exert political pressure on Ukraine and persuade Kyiv to make concessions.
Ukraine remains alert, with its military preparing to counter these threats and fortify defenses in vulnerable areas to mitigate potential damage.
