Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky recently announced the potential launch of a winter admissions campaign for higher education institutions across the country.

The head of state revealed that he has already instructed the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers to facilitate the admission procedures for prospective students, aiming to make the process more accessible and convenient during the challenging winter months.

According to Zelensky, the current admissions process is gradually adapting to modern challenges, and to avoid overcrowding of applicants in a limited timeframe, the idea of implementing an additional winter session is being considered.

This initiative would enable young people to commence their studies earlier without waiting for the traditional summer intake.

The Ministry of Education is already working on the concept of this innovation and plans to introduce relevant legislative amendments soon.

It is expected that this measure will increase flexibility in choosing admission periods and alleviate the congestion of traditional enrollment times, significantly benefiting both applicants and universities.
