Ukrainian Security Service’s covert operation: establishing a disguised logistics company in Russia to counter enemy threats

As part of a strategic effort to counteract hostile elements, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) undertook an unprecedented operation involving the creation of a clandestine logistics enterprise in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk.
This move was designed to serve as a cover for critical missions aimed at enhancing national security.
According to SBU head Vasyl Maliuk, the operation was meticulously planned to facilitate secure movement of intelligence and material resources, effectively disrupting adversarial activities. The enterprise was officially registered and used as a legitimate business to lease office space and warehouses located near the Federal Security Service (FSB) offices.
This tactical positioning allowed Ukrainian agents to operate covertly while maintaining high operational security.
They also acquired and fueled five trucks, which were used for transporting various cargoes, including equipment and materials for special operations. All facilities and supplies were carefully prepared.
The office and storage facilities were situated close to FSB installations to enable swift response to any detection attempts.
Power backup systems, including solar panels and EcoFlow batteries, were installed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, especially during cold seasons when temperatures can drop below minus 40 degrees Celsius.Furthermore, the operation involved the deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), consisting of two parts weighing 800 grams each—totaling 1,600 grams of a special explosive mixture.
This compound was designed with an cumulative-fusible effect, allowing it not only to destroy drone structures but also to trigger internal explosions aimed at damaging targets or disrupting enemy operations. This covert operation exemplifies how modern intelligence agencies employ high-tech and clandestine methods to achieve strategic goals in safeguarding national security against external and internal threats.
