According to official information released by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, a court verdict has been issued against a deputy serving within the illegal authorities in occupied Crimea.

The individual, a member of the occupation-installed “State Council of the Republic of Crimea,” was found guilty of publicly inciting armed aggression and legitimizing the occupation of the peninsula.

The court sentenced him to 11 years in prison with confiscation of property for his involvement in propagandist activities that supported occupation regimes and facilitated the violent seizure of Ukrainian territories.During the trial, it was proven that in 2022, this deputy granted several interviews to the pro-Russian TV channel “Milllet,” which is part of the media holding “ANOO TeleRadiocompany of Crimea.” In these interviews, he called for the use of Russian armed forces to maintain control over occupied territories and promoted ideas claiming the legality of Crimea’s occupation, presenting it as a salvation for local residents from “fascist ideology” and the “destructive influence” of the West.

Following Russia’s full-scale invasion, his propaganda activity intensified: he openly propagated calls for violent overthrow of the constitutional order and supported Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

The charges include public calls for violent overthrow (Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), collaboration activities (Part 6 of Article 111-1), and justification of Russia’s military aggression (Part 3 of Article 436-2).

This verdict demonstrates Ukraine’s firm stance against any collaboration with occupation authorities and highlights the ongoing fight against pro-Russian propaganda aimed at undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
