On the evening of August 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff officially announced an escalation of military activities in the eastern regions, particularly around the town of Dobropillya.

According to the military leadership, Russian forces, leveraging their numerical superiority, are attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian defenses by deploying small groups behind the frontline positions.

This tactic poses an additional challenge for Ukrainian defenders, who are actively working to prevent enemy penetration and maintain control over strategic areas.

In response, the Ukrainian command has allocated extra units and resources to detect and eliminate sabotage groups attempting to sneak through.

On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched over 35 attacks aimed at pushing Ukrainian troops back and weakening their positions.

The most intense fighting occurs in villages such as Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Mayak, Drozdene, Nikanorivka, Kucheriv Yar, Novoye Shakheve, Novoekonomichne, Sukhetske, Rodinske, Promin, Udachne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Horikhove, and Dachne.

Additionally, analytical center DeepState reported on August 11 that Russian forces have intensified their movement toward Dobropillya, seeking to establish footholds near the Dobropillya–Kramatorsk highway.

Military experts emphasize that these small-group infiltrations do not equate to full territorial control but serve as a tactic to increase pressure and destabilize Ukrainian defenses.
