The air threat to Ukraine remained significant ahead of Russia’s second-largest aerial assault.

Since the evening of August 10, Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted a total of 71 hostile Shahed drones targeting various regions of the country.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, by 8:00 AM they had shot down 59 enemy UAVs attempting to penetrate Ukrainian airspace from the north, south, and east, while 12 drones managed to reach their targets, causing damage.

Additionally, military personnel recorded multiple impact sites indicating the magnitude of the attack.

The drones were launched from Russian cities such as Shatalevo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, suggesting a systematic and well-coordinated assault.

To counter this barrage, Ukrainian forces deployed a mix of aircraft, missile defense systems, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups, all working quickly and efficiently to inflict heavy losses on the enemy.

This demonstrates Ukraine’s highly organized defensive capacity and its ability to respond effectively to aggressive actions under challenging conditions.
