Victim of Russian strike in Chernivtsi dies, death toll rises to five

In Chernivtsi, another tragic loss occurred as a result of the Russian missile attack that took place on July 12.

This strike caused widespread destruction of residential buildings, administrative facilities, and infrastructure, and tragically resulted in the death of an additional resident of the city.

The overall number of victims of this attack has now increased to five, according to Ruslan Zaparnuk, head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, who announced the news via his official Telegram account.

The victim was 71-year-old Yaroslava Klypipch from Snyatian, who was hospitalized in critical condition and passed away today.

She was the wife of Vasil Klypipch, who also was injured during the attack and died on July 16.

The initial strike on July 12 involved Russian missiles and drones, causing extensive damage to residential and commercial buildings, as well as to local infrastructure and vehicles.

Another woman, who was in a coma after the attack, died in the hospital on July 25, bringing the total death toll to five.

This tragedy highlights the ongoing destructive impact of Russian aggression on Ukraine’s cities and the persistent threat faced by innocent civilians.
