British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation during which they discussed the details of a diplomatic mission aimed at boosting cooperation with US leader Donald Trump ahead of his scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The participants confirmed their firm support for Ukraine, including President Volodymyr Zelensky’s position and efforts aimed at achieving a fair and lasting peace on Ukrainian soil.

Additionally, they extensively discussed Trump’s initiatives regarding de-escalation and agreed on ways to coordinate efforts amidst the upcoming important negotiations involving the US, Europe, and Russia.

The leaders agreed to intensify joint efforts, maintain regular contact, and align further steps to increase international pressure to resolve the Ukraine conflict and reduce risks of escalation.

This conversation took place amid increasing global tensions and ahead of Trump’s meeting with Putin, which has garnered widespread attention in the international diplomatic community.

In European countries, there remains a high level of focus on supporting Ukraine as a priority to ensure regional stability and prevent conflict escalation.

Meanwhile, political factions in Washington and Moscow are trying to find the most advantageous positions for negotiations, complicating efforts to reach a common stance.

Analysts forecast that this diplomatic game will continue for several weeks, with the final outcome depending on leaders’ ability to unite efforts for the security and peace of Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
