Chas Pravdy - 10 August 2025 09:29

Dmytro Zaporozhets, a spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps of Ukraine, provided a detailed account of the current situation in the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region, which has become a key focal point in the regional conflict.

According to him, the majority of the city is now under Ukrainian control and fully under fire control.

In an interview with ‘Suspline’, he emphasized that Russian occupying forces are using their propaganda efforts by hoisting Russian flags even in areas they have long controlled, attempting to present a facade of activity.

Zaporozhets added that Ukrainian defenders are destroying the enemy at distances up to 25 kilometers from the frontline, securing their positions and aiming to limit Russian offensive capabilities.

He also noted that, at present, Russian troops display no significant activity in the city area, which is more prominent on the Toretske and Kramatorske directions that are interconnected.

Besides, the invaders’ plans include capturing Kostiantynivka, which is recognized as the next operational target.

Previously, Oleg Petrasyuk, spokesman for the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, reported that Russian forces turned residential neighborhoods in Chasiv Yar into ruins, destroying all shelters and structures to deprive locals of protection and strengthen their positions.

Ukrainian forces continue conducting large-scale counterattacks and damage operations aimed at regaining control of temporarily occupied territories and stabilizing the frontline situation.
