Merkel discusses potential Alaska meeting between Trump and Putin and its possible implications for Ukraine

German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz made an official statement regarding preparations for a forthcoming meeting between the Presidents of the United States and Russia, scheduled to take place in Alaska.

According to him, on August 10, he plans to conduct a phone conversation with U.S.

President Donald Trump to coordinate positions and define strategic directions for this significant diplomatic event.
