Former television host and current State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce has received the backing of U.S.

President Donald Trump to assume a key diplomatic role — Deputy Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations.

The announcement of her candidacy was made via social media, marking an important milestone in shaping a new team in America’s foreign policy arena.Trump, in a post on Truth Social, stated: “I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Tammy Bruce — a true patriot, television personality, and author of bestsellers — as our next Deputy Representative to the UN, with ambassadorial rank.” This decision has drawn wide attention and support from political circles.Tammy Bruce, renowned former Fox News commentator, was appointed to the State Department in January 2023.

She is also an author of several books and has been actively involved in media and communications since 2005.

During her tenure as State Department spokesperson, she defended several controversial U.S.

foreign policy decisions — from immigration enforcement to the deployment of private military contractors in conflict zones.Currently, the acting U.S.

representative at the UN is diplomat Dorothy Shaw, who previously served as deputy ambassador.

The first step in confirming Bruce’s candidacy involves Congressional approval, after which she can officially take up her position.
