In recent weeks, there has been a significant decline in the activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups along the Ukraine-Russia border, which previously operated more actively in border regions, particularly in Sumy Oblast.

Representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine report that the number of enemy sabotage tactics has noticeably decreased, yet they caution about the potential return of adversaries to sabotage operations.

Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, states that earlier, sabotage groups were highly active around Sumy and nearby areas, and the threat persisted for Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions as well.

Despite the reduced activity, Russian forces continue using various weaponry in their sabotage efforts — from aircraft and missiles to drones, including FPV models.

Ukrainian troops have achieved notable successes, liberating the village of Bezsalivka in Sumy Oblast and Kindrativka in July this year.

Another critical incident was the fourth attack by Russian forces on the Sumy Regional State Administration building, emphasizing the ongoing complexity and tension in the border regions.

Currently, Ukrainian defenders remain alert and prepared to respond to any new threats, actively conducting counter-terrorism measures to prevent the resurgence of sabotage groups and to ensure the safety of civilians.
