UK prepares high-level security advisors’ meeting to explore paths to end Russian aggression
In the United Kingdom, an important gathering of top security officials from the United States, Ukraine, and several European countries is set to take place, aiming to become a crucial platform for finding ways to halt Russia’s full-scale military assault against Ukraine.
According to sources within the British government, this meeting follows discussions between UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It will be hosted by Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and U.S.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who is currently on a working visit to London.
During discussions about the upcoming summit, the participants expressed a shared view that this forum will serve as a vital venue for dialogue and joint approaches to ensuring a just and lasting peace.
The primary goal of the meeting is not only to consolidate international efforts but also to intensify diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the war and restoring peace in Ukraine.
It was preceded by a telephone conversation between Zelensky and Sunak, where current security issues and pathways to peace were deliberated.
