On the night of August 9, the city of Balakliia in Kharkiv region once again became a battleground as Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) launched another attack targeting residential and non-residential buildings in the city’s central districts.

This assault served as a stark reminder of the ongoing danger threatening this strategically vital region.

According to Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliia Military-Civil Administration, the occupying forces utilized strike-type drones to carry out targeted attacks on homes and infrastructure objects located in the city center.

As a result of the attack, a private residence and a non-residential structure were damaged, and emergency services are already working at the scene to address the aftermath.

This incident followed a series of attacks, including the night of August 2, when Russian forces struck the central parts of Balakliia, causing explosions and destruction.

On the night of August 3, an enemy drone hit a private house, injuring one person.

These episodes reflect the increasing aggression of the occupying forces and their deliberate tactics to spread panic and destruction in the region.
