Moldova Denies Presence of Ukrainian Border Guards on Its Territory and Control of Surveillance Cameras

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova officially refuted any allegations regarding the presence of Ukrainian border guards within its territory at a distance of up to 1.5 kilometers from the border and the operation of surveillance systems supposedly controlled by Ukraine.
Representatives of the border police emphasized that the information circulating is false and biased, urging the public to rely solely on official sources.
In their statement, they confirmed that all border security activities are conducted strictly within the framework of national legislation and bilateral agreements between Moldova and Ukraine, without infringing on sovereignty or territorial integrity.
They also clarified that the surveillance cameras installed along the border are under the full control of Moldovan authorities, and Ukrainian services have not been granted access to them.
The police called on citizens to obtain information only from official channels and to avoid spreading fake news that could lead to confusion and undermine trust within society.
This situation is further highlighted by the incident involving a Ukrainian border guard who escaped to Slovakia and sought asylum, as well as the case of a truck detained at the border with Moldova carrying over 40 individuals.
