Intense Fighting Continues on Donbas Front: Russian Attacks Focus on Key Sectors as Ukraine Holds Strategic Positions
The situation on the Ukrainian front remains highly tense, with Russian forces escalating their attacks along several key sectors, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions.
In these areas, the enemy launched at least 30 and 17 assaults, respectively, indicating a concerted effort to break through Ukrainian defenses.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff, over 118 combat encounters occurred just in the past 24 hours across multiple sectors.
Notably, the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions saw six Russian air strikes, utilizing more than ten guided bombs, accompanied by nearly 200 artillery shellings, including nine from multiple rocket launcher systems.South of the frontline, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled three attacks near Vovchansk and other settlements such as Kolodyazne and Petro-Ivanivka.
On the Kupyansk sector, defenders fended off four assaults around Petropavlivka and Kovalyvka.
Meanwhile, in the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 12 attacks near Karpivka, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, and Shandrigolovo, demonstrating ongoing fierce confrontations.
Three encounters are still ongoing.In the northern regions, specifically the Siversky sector, Russian troops executed six offensive actions around Serebrianka and Pereiizne.
Ukrainian defenders managed to repel one enemy attack near Bila Hora.
On the Toretsk line, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions six times, focusing efforts in the districts of Diliivka, Shcherbinivka, and Toretsk, as well as towards Rusyn Yar and Pleshchiivka.Regarding the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made approximately 30 attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses in villages like Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, and others.
All these attacks were successfully repulsed.
Ukrainian military reports indicate that during recent operations, approximately 153 Russian soldiers were eliminated, including 99 who were irrecoverable, along with 13 vehicles, four artillery pieces, over 100 drones, a satellite terminal, and a radar station.Other sectors also experienced significant activity: 17 attacks near Vilne Pole, Maliyivka, Temyrivka, and in areas such as Olhivske, Iкра, Oleksandrhrad, and Zelenyi Hai.
In the Gulyaypilsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack near Malynivka, while Kostyantynivka was subjected to an air strike.
In the Orikhiv sector, enemy forces, supported by aviation, launched three assaults near Novodanilivka and Novoiandriivka, but these were unsuccessful.
The Dnipro sector saw four attempts at advancing, all repelled, with an air strike on Lviv marking the enemy’s efforts to push forward.Overall, the frontline remains volatile.
