Financial Outlook of Ukrainian Premier League Clubs: Revenues and Debts in 2024

The past year revealed significant financial dynamics among leading Ukrainian Premier League clubs. According to reports compiled by the media outlet «TaToTakе», the revenue figures illustrate considerable fluctuations, reflecting the clubs' financial stability and potential for growth. Leading the chart was the team «Vorskla», with an income of $242,800, making it the most profitable club in the league. This revenue encompassed earnings from broadcasting rights, sponsorship deals, and merchandise sales. Four other clubs managed to remain in the green: «Kryvbas» with $159,600, LNZ with $81,300, «SK Poltava» with $74,500, and «Livyi Bereh» with $7,600. Conversely, the Ukrainian giants «Shakhtar Donetsk» posted an enormous deficit, totaling $42.8 million in liabilities for the year. Kyiv’s «Dynamo» also faced substantial losses, amounting to $12.9 million, which significantly impacted its financial health. The team «Olexandriya», the silver medalist of the previous season, ended the year with a minor deficit of $8,600. In terms of league standings, «Dynamo» emerged as the champion, while «Shakhtar» settled for third place. Relegated from the top division were «Vorskla», «Livyi Bereh», «Inhulets», and «Chornomorets», making way for newcomers «Poltava», «Kudrivka», «Metalist 1925», and «EpiCenter». The fixture list for the upcoming season has already been announced, allowing fans and analysts to start preparing for the new competition cycle with an eye on how the clubs will perform financially and sportingly.
