Amid ongoing armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has now lasted over two and a half years, Ukrainian military forces and analysts continue to record substantial losses among Russian troops and equipment at the frontlines. According to the latest data from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in the past day, Ukrainian defenders inflicted further losses on enemy positions, eliminating 1,180 Russian soldiers, one aircraft, and more than 39 artillery systems. These figures indicate a persistently high level of Russian military casualties and equipment destruction, highlighting the tough situation faced by the occupying forces in the combat zone. Since the large-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, the total combat losses of the Russian army are estimated to have reached approximately 1,026,440 personnel. This number encompasses not only human losses but also a vast amount of destroyed equipment. It is believed that over 10,992 tanks, 22,956 armored vehicles, nearly 30,000 artillery systems, more than 1,400 rocket launchers, and over 1,100 air defense systems have been destroyed during this period. Furthermore, daily Ukrainian strikes continue to decimate the Russian aviation fleet—lastly, one aircraft and one tactical drone were destroyed in the recent 24 hours. Since the onset of the war, Russian aviation losses are estimated at over 420 aircraft and more than 43,800 drones of various types. Ukrainian defenders also persistently target enemy logistics and automotive equipment—total damage exceeds 54,200 units of vehicles and fuel tanks. Ongoing losses among missile defense systems and other military assets underscore the intensity of the fighting and Ukraine’s resilience in repelling the aggression. These figures summarize the scale of ongoing battles and confirm that the situation remains tense and challenging for the Russian invaders, who continue to suffer increasing casualties daily.
