Russian Drones Strike Ukrainian Military Infrastructure: Consequences and International Reactions
This morning marked a new wave of large-scale attacks by Russian drones targeting Ukrainian military facilities, including in the cities of Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, and Poltava. Kamikaze drones launched deliberate strikes causing significant damage to critical infrastructure, resulting in human casualties and extensive fires. In Kremenchuk, a two-story building within the district of the Training and Social Support Center (TSC) was hit, igniting a fire that burned across 700 square meters; one person was injured. Rescuers, working into the afternoon, extinguished the large blaze, deploying 87 firefighters. Previously, on June 30, the enemy targeted the recruitment center in Kryvyi Rih. Fortunately, no fatalities occurred, though several nearby individuals sustained injuries. Meanwhile, in Poltava, attacks carried out by drones on regional and city TSCs led to a tragic loss of three civilian lives, with 58 others, including both military personnel and civilians, injured—many with varying degrees of wounds. According to Ukraine’s defense authorities, Russia may continue these targeted attacks on military infrastructure to disrupt mobilization efforts and sow psychological panic among the population. Ukraine calls on the international community to respond strongly and to increase support for defending national institutions against ongoing aggression.
