Amid recent developments in Ukraine’s mobilization and security policies, official representatives of the defense sector warn of potential future attacks by Russia on Territorial Defense Centers and social support hubs. Vitaliy Saranzev, spokesperson for Ukraine's Ground Forces Command, expressed concern over the recent missile strike on the TDC building in Kremenchuk, marking another indication of Russia’s active efforts to destabilize Ukraine’s mobilization process. According to him, these actions are part of a deliberate tactic aimed at disrupting mobilization measures, fostering chaos, and inciting panic among civilians and military personnel alike. The defense representative emphasized that Ukrainian forces will do everything possible to ensure the safety of workers and visitors in these centers, as their activities are crucial for the resilience of the country’s defense system. Saranzev also noted that the campaign to sabotage mobilization began earlier, with the firing and mineing of military recruitment offices across Ukraine, including targeted strikes on TDCs in Poltava, Kryvyi Rih, and Kremenchuk. These actions appear coordinated and aim to weaken Ukraine’s defense capabilities and delay mobilization efforts. Notably, on June 30, Russian troops targeted the recruitment center in Kryvyi Rih, resulting in injuries among civilians nearby. Subsequently, in July, Russian drones attacked the buildings of regional and city TDCs in Poltava, leading to the death of two civilians and nearly 50 injuries among civilians and military personnel. These deliberate attacks are aimed at sowing panic, destabilizing internal security, and undermining Ukraine’s mobilization potential in its fight against occupation and aggression.
