In the cities of Kharkiv and Kherson, emergency rescue personnel from the State Emergency Service (SES) found themselves in a perilous situation as they became targets of renewed enemy shelling during their missions. In Kharkiv, overnight, Russian forces employed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to strike vital infrastructure. When firefighters arrived at the scene of a fire, the adversaries launched a second attack, damaging a fire truck. Similarly, in Kherson on the morning of July 6, a fire broke out at a gas station, which was actively being extinguished by rescuers. During this operation, they faced a fresh assault, resulting in the damage of their firefighting vehicle. Fortunately, all personnel involved in these operations remained unharmed. These incidents highlight the ongoing danger and immense challenges faced by emergency services operating amidst ongoing hostilities, underscoring the volatility of the current security situation in Ukraine.
