Kellogg comments on Zelensky’s remarks about the ‘best’ conversation with Trump and their shared compassion for tragedies worldwide

Special envoy of former U.S. President Donald Trump on Ukraine, Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, provided his perspective on Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky's recent statement regarding his telefonic conversation with former President Donald Trump. Zelensky claimed that this call was the 'best' among all his interactions with American leaders, a remark that sparked widespread media discussion. Responding to Zelensky’s statement, Kellogg offered a thoughtful comment, emphasizing the genuine empathy both leaders share for tragedies occurring in times of peace and war. 'Good. This is classic Donald Trump. Always willing to engage with compassion. Also, many thanks to President Zelensky for his condolences regarding the horrific deaths caused by the floods in Texas, especially among the youth,' Kellogg wrote on his social media. He highlighted that both leaders understand the profound pain caused by the loss of young lives, whether during peaceful times or conflicts. Kellogg stressed that compassion and humanity are central to true leadership. As a reminder, at least 27 people, including nine children, lost their lives during the devastating Texas floods, with another 27 girls still reported missing after being at a summer camp. Previously, Trump expressed skepticism about ending Russia’s war against Ukraine, despite his election promises, emphasizing that resolving the conflict remains his priority.
