Escalation of Conflict: Russian Strikes on Recruitment Centers in Ukraine Cause Tragic Losses

On the night of July 3rd, Russian forces launched a new attack on military infrastructure across Ukraine, notably targeting Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TSC) in the cities of Poltava and Kremenchuk. These strikes not only caused significant damage to the buildings but also resulted in human casualties. In Poltava, the death toll increased to three, including a woman who sustained severe injuries and succumbed to her wounds in the medical facility after the attack. Volodymyr Kogut, acting head of the Poltava regional military administration, reported via Telegram that medical staff fought tirelessly to save her life, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. Additionally, more than 58 people were injured in the city, among them military personnel who were nearby during the attack. Besides Poltava, Russian kamikaze drones targeted the Kremenchuk district recruitment center, with no injuries reported among soldiers or staff there. A few days earlier, Russian forces also struck a recruitment center in Kryvyi Rih, which resulted in civilian injuries as workers and visitors were nearby at the time of the attack. Military officials suggest that these assaults might continue as part of Russia's tactics to disrupt Ukraine’s mobilization efforts. The Ground Forces warn that such armed pressure could deepen the crisis within Ukraine's military sector, complicating front-line operations and threatening the country’s plans for mobilization and strengthening defenses in the face of ongoing aggression.
