In the past 24 hours, on July 6th, Ukrainian forces faced intense combat challenges amid ongoing conflict with Russian invaders. Nearly 150 combat engagements took place across various sectors of the front, signaling a highly active and persistent confrontation. Russian troops extensively employed their technological advantage by deploying over 1,200 drones, predominantly kamikaze-type UAVs, which they launched in a massive number of 1,275 units. This represents one of the most significant drone strikes by Russia in recent times, aimed at destroying Ukrainian defensive positions and civilian infrastructure. According to the Ukrainian General Staff’s evening report as of 10 PM, the enemy launched one missile strike and 61 airstrikes using a total of 4 missiles and 82 guided bombs. In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, small-scale clashes continued, with seven skirmishes, three of which remain ongoing. The Russian forces intensified their aviation activity, conducting 10 airstrikes, dropping 24 guided bombs, and executing over 230 artillery attacks, including 21 from rocket artillery systems. On the eastern front, the Russian military attacked several areas in the Pivdenno-Slobozhanshchyna sector, targeting settlements such as Kamyanka, Zelenyi, Krasne Pershe, Ambarne, Vovchansk, and Khatne, with 20 attacks and eight ongoing battles. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all attempts at penetration in the Kupiansk direction and hold their positions along other sectors, including Liman and Siversky. Currently, eight encounters are ongoing near Hrekivka, Chervonyi Stakh, Serebrianka, and Karpivka. Russian efforts on the western fronts remain limited; in Kramatorsk and Toretsk, their attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses have been unsuccessful and lack momentum. The fiercest fighting continues in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy has attempted over 40 infiltration attempts in areas such as Razina, Promin, Myrolubivka, and nearby settlements. Today, Russian casualties amount to more than 117 killed and wounded soldiers, with several vehicles, drones, communication equipment, and other military assets destroyed or damaged. Ukrainian armed forces also successfully repelled 15 enemy attacks in the Novopavlivka area and launched several counteroffensives in Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian troops demonstrate resilience, courage, and strategic determination to reclaim occupied territories and ensure national security amid ongoing hostilities.
