Bus Carrying Ukrainian Children Crashes in Hungary: Several Injured with Serious Wounds

Early Sunday morning, July 6th, a road accident occurred in Hungary involving a bus transporting Ukrainian children. Due to an unspecified circumstance, the bus veered off the road and overturned between the towns of Kunsentmarton and Tisaföldvár on highway 442. According to the Ukrainian consulate in Nyíregyháza, at least 19 people were injured in the crash, including four who are in serious condition. The incident happened around 5:00 AM, with 77 passengers onboard. Officials confirmed that among those affected, four sustained severe injuries, but no fatalities have been reported so far. Hungarian emergency services and law enforcement are currently working at the scene, while Ukrainian Ambassador to Hungary, Fedir Shandor, along with Ukrainian consuls, have arrived to coordinate aid efforts. The wounded have been transported to hospitals in Sólnok, Kecskemét, and Sentesh, while the remaining passengers are temporarily housed at the cultural center in Kunszentmárton. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident, and the situation remains under control of the local authorities.
