Aftermath of Drone and Missile Attacks in Kyiv Region: Fires, Casualties, and Destruction

On the evening of July 6, the Kyiv region once again came under a targeted attack by Russian forces using unmanned aerial vehicles to strike strategic targets. The consequences of this aggression included extensive fires, destruction of property, and injuries among civilians. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, three people were wounded in the Vyshhorod district, one of whom sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The other two — a 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man — experienced acute stress reactions requiring medical attention. Fires broke out in multiple locations, including two apartment buildings, four garages, and several vehicles. One warehouse was completely destroyed, while private homes and outbuildings suffered damage. Particular efforts were made to rescue a woman born in 1938, who was successfully extricated and given necessary aid. Additionally, three vehicles were damaged due to the attack. Earlier reports indicated that Kharkiv also suffered from a drone strike resulting in at least two casualties, illustrating the scale and brutality of current hostilities and the increasing danger faced by civilians. Authorities urge residents to be cautious and follow safety protocols during such critical situations.
