Ukrainian Air Forces: Scale of Russian Drone Attack and Defense in Khmelnytskyi Region
On the night of July 4 to 5, Ukrainian Air Forces reported a massive aerial offensive by Russian forces, utilizing over 300 drones of various models. According to military sources, a total of 322 UAVs were launched, with 292 being successfully intercepted and destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, including air units. The primary strike targeted the Khmelnytskyi region, particularly focusing on the city of Starokostiantyniv, which holds strategic importance amidst this escalation. Military confirmed that 157 drones were eliminated, while another 135 were recorded as lost at specific locations after search operations. The enemy's air attack devices struck four different sites, causing debris to fall in six areas of the region. This attack exemplifies Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, yet Ukrainian defenses continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, effectively neutralizing the threat even at distances of several hundred meters.
