Additionally, they have pushed further into the area around Odradne settlement, which Ukrainian defenders previously liberated and currently control. These settlements are situated near Dachne, an area under Ukrainian authority, despite Russian ambitions to extend their reach to the regional borders. The Ukrainian General Staff reports that Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have operated in the area but were neutralized by Ukrainian forces. It is worth noting that the region has a lower population density compared to Donetsk, making swift advancement easier for Russian troops.
