Russian Attacks on Kherson Region: Morning Strike Leads to Tragedy and Casualties
In the early hours of Saturday, Russian military forces launched a large-scale attack on the territory of Kherson region, resulting in tragic consequences for local residents. According to official information from the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, this attack devastated the peaceful community of Novodmitrivka. The most tragic outcome was the death of a 70-year-old woman, who suffered fatal injuries during the terrifying event. This marks yet another victim of war, reminding us of the immediate danger faced by civilians in frontline territories. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack occurred around 6 a.m. and caused destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure objects in the region. Unfortunately, such incidents become less frequent but remain a stark reminder of the brutal reality of the ongoing conflict, which has lasted for months. It is also important to note that this tragedy occurs amidst other incidents in the region. For instance, in Kherson, a 57-year-old man was killed the day before as a result of shelling. Since March, when Russian troops occupied part of the region, the number of civilian casualties has significantly increased, continually highlighting the mercilessness of the war. Officials are calling for peaceful resolution of the conflict, but in the meantime, the enemy’s actions only deepen destruction and human tragedies.
