In recent days, the situation in eastern Ukraine has become increasingly tense as Russian forces continue to concentrate their efforts on capturing new territories close to the administrative borders of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Reports indicate that the occupiers have seized two strategically important villages — Zelenyi Kут and Novoukrainka — located near the border between these regions. According to analysts from Deepstate, the enemy is actively trying to advance further towards Dachne, one of the critical hotspots. Currently, the situation remains highly tense and dynamic, with Ukrainian forces doing their best to stop the enemy's progress by deploying additional reserves and resources. However, due to the numerical superiority of the adversary and their relentless small-group assaults, Russian units are managing to break through Ukrainian defensive lines — a phenomenon that has become commonplace on many sections of the front. Analysts also note that the Kremlin has significant media opportunities to launch a large-scale propaganda campaign related to breakthroughs in the Dnipropetrovsk region, aimed at increasing informational and political pressure on Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military and analysts emphasize that despite the difficulties, defending the border and preventing further Russian advances remains a fundamental and crucial task for the Ukrainian command. They stress that the situation is challenging: ongoing combat operations, increasing enemy numbers, and geographical complexities further complicate the struggle and necessitate continuous analysis and mobilization of resources to protect the country. According to experts, Ukrainian troops are preparing for potential escalations in regions such as Yalta, Zirka, PidDubne, Tolstoho, Shevchenka, and Voskresenka, which are located near administrative boundaries and could become new hotspots in the conflict if needed.
