Since the evening of July 3rd, Kyiv has been under a heavy barrage associated with a large-scale attack by Russian attack drones. According to the city military administration, dozens of drones were detected in the airspace, triggering panic among residents and activating the air defense systems. Updates confirm multiple damages to residential buildings across five districts: Solomianskyi, Obolonskyi, Dniprovskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi. Roofs of apartment blocks have been damaged, with debris from the drones causing fires in some areas, quickly extinguished by firefighting units. Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported that debris from a drone fell on the roof of a residential building in Obolon, prompting medical and rescue teams to respond. Fortunately, no injuries have been recorded so far, but there are reports of fires and infrastructure damage. Furthermore, at 22:41, in Dnipro district, emergency services documented debris near a school and several residential buildings, indicating widespread destruction. Debris continues to be found across various parts of the city. Kyiv's emergency head, Tymur Tkachенко, announced a fire in a non-residential building in Solomianskyi district. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, and medical personnel are working intensively. It is estimated that over 13 locations have been affected, most of which are residential buildings, leading to a serious humanitarian crisis. Authorities are urging residents to stay safe and continue defending the airspace as the air defense system fights off Russian drones overhead.
