Ukrainian Air Force Major Turned Spy for Russia: Detected and Neutralized

In the Lviv region, Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) military counterintelligence, in cooperation with high-ranking Ukrainian armed forces officials, carried out a meticulous operation that resulted in the arrest of an Air Force officer. This major was revealed to be a traitor who, on orders from the Russian FSB, was passing sensitive information to the enemy. According to official reports, he was recruited by his former wife, who is currently working for the Russians in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol. It has been established that this informant was tasked with gathering intelligence on Ukrainian aviation, specifically the locations of key airfields, logistical hubs, and aircraft maintenance centers. This data could have been exploited by the enemy for missile strikes and other military attacks. The operation led to his immediate detention, and he has already been formally charged under Ukrainian criminal law for high treason committed in complicity with a group during wartime. Additionally, his ex-wife, currently located in the occupied southern territories of Ukraine, was also charged in absentia. The operation represents a significant step in combating espionage and sabotage activities against Ukraine's critical military infrastructure.
