Ukraine Significantly Expands Its Defense Capabilities: Over 120 New Weapons and Equipment Approved for Use in June

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, in June of this year, Ukrainian defense enterprises took a major step forward by officially approving over 120 new models of weapons and military hardware for combat deployment. This is far more than just a statistic — it represents clear evidence of the active development of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex, reducing reliance on foreign supplies of arms and ammunition. Amid ongoing conflicts and geopolitical tensions, Ukraine is witnessing a rapid increase in domestic innovations and technological developments capable of shifting the regional balance of power. Among the newly authorized samples are nearly 50 types of unmanned aerial vehicle systems, along with engineering tools, munitions for UAVs, ground robotic systems, and other state-of-the-art Ukrainian-made equipment. In the first half of 2025 alone, the number of approved models exceeded 600, highlighting the swift modernization of the country's defense arsenal. This figure is almost twice as high as the number of new domestic weapons approved during the same period last year, underscoring Ukraine's high rate of innovation and growing self-sufficiency in military technology.
