Rescue Operation in Odessa: Over 50 People Evacuated Following Russian Drone Attack

In the early hours today, Odessa faced a serious emergency caused by a missile and drone attack carried out by Russian forces. A high-rise residential building was damaged in what appears to be an unprecedented drone assault targeting the city's infrastructure. According to the State Emergency Service (SES), more than fifty residents were evacuated due to the attack, including two children. Rescue crews responded swiftly, evacuating 50 individuals, with 10 of them rescued using specialized equipment. It is reported that the attack caused damage to all nine floors of the nine-story building. Flames erupted on floors 7 through 9, following an explosion that ignited a fire. Unfortunately, there are casualties: four people sustained injuries of varying severity. Emergency services continue working to contain the aftermath and provide assistance to the injured. Local authorities urge residents to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines amid the ongoing threat and heightened danger to the city.
