The Armed Forces of Ukraine have demonstrated their combat readiness and high professionalism through a large-scale operation codenamed «Dronocide» aimed at Russian unmanned systems in the Zaporizhzhia direction. This operation marked one of the most extensive defensive efforts in Ukraine’s recent history, bringing together several agencies and units to achieve strategic military goals. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, this operation involved units from the Active Actions Department of GUR, the Air Forces Command, the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade, and the Flight Skull unit of the Unmanned Systems Forces, along with tactical groups «Zaporizhzhia» and «Tavria». During the operation, Ukrainian forces identified and neutralized over ninety enemy positions used by both strike and reconnaissance drones. Overall, more than 42 targets were destroyed or damaged, including enemy operator posts and reconnaissance drones. Notably, Ukrainian strikes also targeted train cars with fuel tanks in Zaporizhzhia region, which the Russians used to supply their military equipment and logistics chains.
This achievement underscores the high effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in repelling aggression and their ability to conduct complex, coordinated operations in challenging combat conditions. Ukraine remains steadfast in its commitment to defend its territory and sovereignty, leveraging modern technology and mobile units to counter enemy threats.
