Recent reports indicate that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has made the decision to halt certain military aid shipments to Ukraine that were already stored in Poland. This measures affects the delivery of critical defense systems, including over twenty Patriot PAC-3 missiles, more than twenty Stinger anti-aircraft systems, Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, and over 90 air-to-air AIM rockets. Sources familiar with the matter reveal that this decision was driven by efforts to de-escalate the conflict and reduce U.S. military stockpiles. The Pentagon clarified that this is not a complete termination of assistance, but rather a reassessment of delivery schedules with options to continue support under conditions aligned with ending the war. Ukrainian Defense Ministry officials have stated that they have yet to receive official notification regarding any changes to the delivery timetable. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that he is working with U.S. counterparts to clarify details and resolve the situation. Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg acknowledged understanding of the U.S. administration’s focus on national interests but emphasized the importance of continued military support to Ukraine to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
