According to Victoria, she and her son were driving near the Vinogradar market when they noticed the cyclist hitting the glass of another vehicle with his hand. Moments later, she heard a gunshot and saw a man on a bicycle shooting at their car with a device similar to a firearm. In shock and fear, she immediately pulled over, told her son to hide, and stepped out to assess the situation. It turned out that the shooter was a 46-year-old Kyiv resident who was apparently irritated by being splashed with water and responded with violence. Law enforcement officials have established that he took out a pistol while riding his bike and fired at the rear window of a Ford vehicle. The attacker fled the scene but was quickly detained by police; the weapon was recovered. Authorities are preparing charges of hooliganism involving the use of firearms.
