The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff issued an important statement regarding the situation around the strategically vital settlement of Dachne, located in Dnipropetrovsk region. They confirm that the area remains under Ukrainian control and has not been captured by Russian forces attempting to advance in this direction. A spokesperson for the General Staff emphasized that Russian propaganda actively spreads false information about the conquest of Dachne, while Ukrainian soldiers maintain control over the situation. According to reports, several days ago, Russian reconnaissance groups attempted to infiltrate the borders of Dachne. They even managed to take photos with the Russian tricolor, confirming their presence. However, Ukrainian defenders responded swiftly and eliminated these groups, preventing further activity. In a subsequent skirmish, two Russian service members, luckier than others, were captured by a Ukrainian Marine brigade and added to the exchange fund. Additionally, the General Staff stated that Russian forces continue to attempt crossing the administrative boundary between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Failures by the enemy in reaching their strategic goals indicate that Ukrainian defenders successfully hold the line and prevent enemy expansion. Overall, NATO intelligence suggests that Russia does not intend to launch a large-scale offensive in these regions, particularly in Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Despite Russian claims of invasion into Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine refutes these allegations, noting that hostilities are confined to local skirmishes within the region. Kyiv’s military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, also confirmed that the most significant threat to Dnipro city remains missile and drone attacks, with active fighting concentrated on other parts of Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
